What to Pack With You

Ski and snowboard Related Gear

  • Skis, boots, adjustable ski poles, skins
  • Snowboard & Boots, snowshoes & telescopic poles
  • Snow safety equipment (backpack, beacon, probe, shovel)
  • In a case you don’t have your own backcountry gear (AVI or touring sets) you can easily rent these from us. We have a good selection Dynafit Skis with tech-binding and skins & boots. For snowboarders we rent snowshoes and poles from the lodge
  • Goggles and sunnies
  • Gloves
  • Helmet
  • Waterproof pants and jacket
  • Insulated layer (fleece)
  • Light weight down jacket
  • Ski-socks
  • Proper winter boots – sneakers are absolutely a wrong choice in Hokkaido
  • Beanie and buff (preferably merino or similar material)
  • There is no need to bring an extensive wardrobe – Casual Apres-Ski clothing at the lodge

Personal items

  • Toiletries (we provide towels, shampoos, conditioners and soap in our Onsen area)
  • Camera
  • Charging devises (please note that the voltage in Japan might be different than in you home country)
  • You might want to change some currency before your arrival. Niseko has few ATM’s for international cards
